I came

Eargasm.

It's raw, tough and cuts right through your eardrums with savage, barbaric, glorious industrial goodness -or at least, I'd file it under 'industrial'.
Sexy effects all around, a beat that makes you nod your head and a gnarly lead to top it off.

Damn...

... some people don't know good when it cockslaps them in the face.

Kudos for:
1. Being original.
2. Actually uploading something different than a videogame remix.
3. 2 is actually the same as 1 but needs to be EMPHASIZED.
4. For making the perfect, sunday night, Jagga Jazzist-esque song.
5. Even though it ends rather abruptly.

Pickle in a Jar

At first I was like 'eehhh', then 01:36 came and I was like 'yeeaahhhh'.
I'd like some more variety in my drumfills, chef. That speedy snare gets a little repetitive after hearing it for 5 times!

Great song overall.

TheComet responds:

yeah I never noticed that at first, definately should've diversified my drumline a bit before submitting, stuck with the amen break and a lil glitch a bit too much

France

Tell me, how much Daft Punk and Justice do you listen =P?
Props on crystal clear production, slick bass and great incorporation of vocals.

You could even make it longer, ya know. Or am I to take the sudden fade-out at the end as a sign?

organicdreams responds:

Thanks for the review, i indeed listen to alot of daft punk. And the reason for the sudden fade out is because this is a work in progress song. As of this moment the song can go anyway, and the final version could be nothing compared to this WIP.

Track's Bitchin'

Holy crap...
This takes me back to the glory days of Svenson & Gielen. This is Trance!

Great remix.

Teck071 responds:

Thats a fucking compliment, thanks alot :D

Good effort

All is well in roughly the first minute, my only gripe is the snare that could be louder.
Then suddenly at around 0:55 the song changes and expands on the guitar-esque synth, no warning, no build up, it just does.
Furthermore I feel the chords are out of place, they don't fit with the rest of the song.

I'd either forego the guitar and instead go with a slowly moving set of strings (usually works well in songs like this) or add another layer to the beat, hi-hats or something.

7 and a 4.

Newbiespud responds:

Fair enough. I didn't think it was perfect, and I can't disagree with your criticism. Thanks for your suggestions.

Driving into a Brick Wall while having Sex

That sums up this song.
It grabs you by the throat and lets you suck on its horribly disfigured, gargantuan, cybernetic... drumline. It's cold, tough, driving, hardstep/darkstep which would fit well in any high-octane chase scene featuring spaceships hurling projectiles at eachother with railguns!

That doesn't quite tell you a whole lot about the actual song, but maybe you could continue this song with a mean breakbeat a la Spor or Limewax rather than let it end with a whisper. It just needs a climactic BANG, that would really perfect it.

Network

Pretty ironic to see how that movie applies to today's world.

It builds up throughout the quote, eventually reaching the climax in the form of a slower paced, drum and bass beat.
It's simple, effective and elegant and ends well too.

Rawr, gnarly

Even though it misses the thick, fatness I like in my drum & bass (Spor), this does make my head move to the beat.

It's unfinished, yes, but you're showing skills here akin to professional DJs.
I like it.

Sexy

I like it, it has this distinct 'credits' feeling. The sound quality is somewhat mediocre though, and I disagree with that snare D:!

But you're really skilled when it comes to drum programming and that really shines here. Even though the lead is largely the same throughout the entire song, the drums are what make the variety here.

Also, take a listen to Hybrid, you might very much like them.

karlsazn responds:

when i made this i didnt have much concern for the sound quality =\ ive thought about revising this into a much cleaner more organized track than having drums kicking from all directions. I appreciate your review, thanks!

I may or may not find you sexy, depending on what day it is.
